How much maching would take to fit a 4g63 pistons on a b20b(for turbo)
the reason i ask is that alot of honda peaple are using suzuki vitara pistons witch are forged and have a 8:5 compression on D16 motors and they are straight bolt on part no machining needed

by the way a b20b has a 84mm bore
 
It's not going to happen. So many honda guys ask this question all the time. The b20b has the weakest sleeves of any honda engine. Boring over at all is a big no no unless you sleeve the block. If you can afford to sleeve it you can afford forged pistons. The rod length and cranks stroke are completely different also so the pin height on the piston is way off. b series engines are pretty strong as is. The b20b has some pretty low compression (8.8:1) so boosting it to 300+whp shouldn't be a problem. There are lots of local guys here running 325+ on stock LS (b18b) and GSR (b18c) longblocks. The b20b as most people know is a b18b (LS) with a larger bore (84mm instead of 81mm). The internals are strong enough for most people's goals as long as the tuning is good. Just remember that rpms will kill a b20b very very fast. Check out www.homemadeturbo.com and go the video section and you can see a bunch of guys that live in my area on the dyno putting down some big numbers most of them have stock longblocks.
