How much did you pay for exhaust welds?

I'm trying to get a gauge for how much it would cost to get some flanges welded on to my RNR exhaust.

It's currently not on the car, so I figure I can just bring the sections that I need to weld to the shop.

Anyone have a recommendation for a shop besides midas/meineke?

go to a locally owned store. I think my place charges $20 for a 3 inch weld.

I dont like the nat'l brand stores like Midas.

I might be getting a exhaust welded this weekend. Most of the local places I've brought mine to said that they can't weld it and I'd need to bring it to midas or meinekee to get it tig welded. I'll let you know how much it cost if I do it this weekend.

I had the same concern about mom and pop shops too not want to take the job. But yea, if you do the welding at meineke/midas, please let me know, it would help out. Thanks. :thumb:

Heres an update that I promised. I went to Midas today. I had them chop off the old exhaust and weld on a new one for me + weld on a hanger. Everything was done within an hour and I paid $75. They wanted an additonal $100 to install the turboback on my car and I told them to shove it.

I paid $100 from a local shop to weld 3" pipe to downpipe, clamp 3" pipe to cat, weld cat to pipe, weld pipe to flange that goes to cat-back. Then, because I bought an inexpensive Monza 3" downpipe from Pacesetters, I paid $36 to heat the downpipe and smack it, to get the downpipe off of the transfer case....but.....it's done now!

i supplied the cat and muffler. they charged me 105 for the pipe (3 inch) and to install everything. o2 back including the flex section i supplied as well.
