love the car ... $7000 would be a good price. Excellent choice on everything. Only thing that would bother me is that the bottom of the fmic hangs below the bottom of the front bumper. Very nice car.

That is fixed, it is just like that in the one picture.

I know another guy who mods cars that is afraid of the drag strip *cough Vishnu cough* :thumbdown

I tried getting my friend to buy it before you bought it... now it actually looks damn good... I'd pay 5k if I had the $- Assuming shes running fine Its hard to get more then that out of a 1G

I got $4k for my stock 13 year old dsm.

You can get average shape 1g awd's for $2k all day long, however, very nice ones are a rarity. Considering the condition and mod level of blue's car, I'd say it's worth $6k at the very least, $7k if you find a motivated buyer, +$8k if you find someone not into the dsm scene. I know a 95 tsi awd that was stock that got $10k for his car with average mileage, simply because he was a young kid that didn't know better. Trying to sell a car like that to other dsmers is a mistake ;)

Good reply Nick.

It's a good thing Nick races his car because he enjoys it, because none of us here in the northwest are very impressed thus far. OMG :D Had he been trying to impress us he would have sold the car after last saturdays race at Pacific Raceways.

Mark I have your car and a can of pink spray paint, be very afraid.
Even if I can't launch anymore at least I can shift. 12.2 at 116 with a 1.6 60'? PUHLEASE that's weak dude. :p
We'll see who's faster when I come over there after next week, I have something up my sleeve. :shhh:

Look you little ###got, I don't care about you. I'm sorry I derive no pleasure from the force of 1 lousy ####ing g of acceleration. I can go to cedar point and experience twice that for $30. So have fun playing with your ####ing little cars, I'd rather spend money on home/car stereo and other equipment, then driving fast in a straight line, which any ####ing idiot in the world can do with enough money, I guess that's a lot of fun. I wish I was as creative and clever as you. You don't know me or what I ran or how fast I went so why don't you shut the #### up. If you're not trying to prove anything, then why are you hating on people no matter what time they run??? Good comeback asshat. See you in hell.

0o0o0o u think i give A ####. wisemen on the least respected dsm forum ever - boo hoo. they ain't wise about shit u kiss ass ####.

Well now you don't have to worry about it anymore.

Wooo hoooo, that was fun reading. I don't understand why people would log in and post on a site that is full of people who like racing DSMs, only to post how racing DSMs is lame. Then they go off and try to put down some of the biggest names in the industry by calling us the "least respected DSM forum ever"... Buschur Racing, AGP, Forced Performance, MachV, DSS, Pocketlogger, and a number of other well respected shops and tuners would tend to disagree with that statement:

With the 40k member mark just around the corner, there's little question about how well respected the site is. Or is Shep registered on just any old DSM site these days?

Back on topic - I think you could possibly get $7k for the car, but it might take you a while. Most people looking for 1Gs are doing so because they're trying to save money. Most people spending that kind of money ($7-10k) usually want a newer car. Let us know how it goes though.

I am going to have to disagree with your statement about Tuners being respected. Shep may be a member here at DSM "tooners" but he's also a NABR member and I suspect he posts on there quite a bit more than here. To continue a large membership base does not mean that the site is either high quality or highly respected at large within the community.
As for the number of vendors who sponsor the sight I again would argue that they do it not because of the excellent quality of content but because of the large pool of potential customers, intelligent or other wise. Don't be so quick to toot your own horn, Tuners has some value as a site but I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say it is one of the most respected sites out there.
That being said though despite the gobs and gobs of mind numbingly stupid ricers registered on this site it is one of the best designed and maintained forums out there, for that I give you great credit.
Back OT,
Kahlid's car is worth around 5k I'd say, possibly 6 if he sells it with the camel drool intact, everyone knows that stuff acts like Nitrous. Also, Kahlid stop being a ####y and get to the track, we don't need two Shivs in this world!!! OMG

It's Khalid not Kahlid, you should meet me sometime in person. I would like to chat with you, and by chat I mean beat your ####ing face in! :thumb:

Khalid,
I am quite sorry for misspelling your name. Silly mistakes like that make me no better than some bitter ignorant keyboard-jockey like someone we all know. Anyway the point of this thread is not to pick fights wtih other member but to discuss the value of your car, which is quite nice I might add, espescially now that the intercooler doesn't hang down.

I can't wait to meet you

Well, this thread continued downhill, even after John's work at cleaning it up.... that's too bad.

Everyone has their own opinion - you're entitled to yours. You must have misread my statement... I didn't boast that the site is "THE most respected", but I do believe it's a valuable resource in the community and has plenty of great content. If it was not respected at all, we likely wouldn't have the number of knowledgable members on here (like Nick, who posted in this thread) answering questions regularly like we do. Sure, there may be a high number of ricers registered here, like many sites out there these days, but at least we try and educate them as well, without flaming them. We've made this a community people want to join, and we are proud of that - no matter how much the haters try and take that away by using terms like "tooners". The Sponsors I've spoken with love the quality of the site and the forums. They like the fact that we're "inclusive", not flamers.
