How much can a Shep take?

I have a 99 AWD and I am looking to send my trans to Shep for a rebuild (non race version) and I am wondering how much power the trans can hold approx? Also, how long it will go before needing another rebuild? I don't take my car to the track and more often then not, it is just for regular street driving. I know, I know, some of you guys are gonna give me crap for the size of the turbo on a "putt around town" car.

You should be able to get 90k out of a transmission that is not hammered on. Shep does good work (so says everyone on here, I went with TRE myself). Usually what kills trannys is strip runs. Unless you launch everyday on the street

I know it is difficult to determine exactly how much a trans can take but does anyone have any power numbers or actual experience with the Shep trans to know its limitations?

You could call the man up yourself, he could answer your questions better than any of us could! I hear he's a cool guy to talk to as well

I have called them to talk about my tranny already and you are right, they are very cool to talk to and will answer questions. What I am looking for is not only what the vendor can tell me themselves but some people that are using their trans and what the actual customers can tell me. This is in no way intended to offend Shepracing because I would also like to get their numbers and compare to other real world accounts.
