how much boost should I run????

My mods are as follows:

Walbro 190lph pump
MBC
Boost guage
clutch
K&N, free mods

Stock exhaust, etc.

I'm racing at the track saturday and I'll be running 93 octane with some good octane booster, so rougly 97-98octane. Do you guys think I can run around 17psi safely?

Octane booster? Are you talking about that crap from Autozone? Your gonna have to put a TON in to gain 4-5 octane. Just mix your own race gas.

I work for an auto supply store and my buddy special ordered this stuff from CRC that makes 7.2 point gains, and it's proven stuff. Smell just like really strong paint thinner.

By the way, is it safe to run the "home-made race gas" on a motor with 02 sensor and fuel injection?

do you have access to a logger? if i were you, i'd go put in whatever gas you're going to run and boost until you get too much knock.

i presume 17 psi will be fine.. but every car is different. be careful.

your right on the edge but you might be ok. I logger would tell the truth.

I believe there are 10 points per octane point. IIRC, that means you will be running roughly 93.7 octane with the bottle of booster.

Start at 15/16 psi and turn it up at the track while you are logging. It is the only way to know for sure what you can get away with.
