How long does your oil stay clear?

No. Motors are motors. You'll have residual oil in any case, and with a supercharged engine, more blowby from the rings.
Oil is supposed to turn black. That shows it's suspending contaminants.

Mine stays clean from the garage to the end of the driveway. After that, it's dirty.

My Grand Prix, however, it still has it's amber color after 5K miles.

My oil gets dirty after one trip to NJ and back (90-100 miles). My IS300 is dirty after 500 miles usually, I forgot I had gotten an oil change and checked it 500 miles later and could barely tell it had been changed, I had to put it on my fingers and rub it to make sure it was in all its viscous glory.

Its good though, I know my carbon is coming out instead of getting stuck where it shouldnt be.

My oil is pretty much the same color between oil changes. A tad darker, you cannot tell without comparing blots side to side though.

But, I slapped some new rings (against a fresh hone) and bearings in shortly after I purchased my car. Oh yeah, and I am also boost-less.

If your oil isn't changing colors it's not doing it's job. At least that's what the Texaco rep at my dad's work says.
[Hrmph. That's what Defiant said, too.]

Or have very little blow-by, and few contaminates for it to hold. My 07 Focus is the same way, we let the dealership do all the maintenance to it, (good records, we intend to sell this POS) they use Motorcraft oil. Clean every time I check the dip-stick. I use Mobil 1 in my 2gnt.

And it also depends on the oil brand & type. comparing brand C to V and type D to S they all have there own additive packages. And of corse engine milage and the type of driving also come into play. An engine that leaks a Qt.in 500mi. is going to be cleaner than one that burns one in the same time.

I can verify that. When I did my turbo swap, I had to take it back off 2 days later due to a leak around the snap ring. When I drained the oil, it was already discolored.

mine use to get black after like 100 miles. then i used Seafoam engine cleaner and put 15w-50 in and three weeks later, its dirty but nowhere's near where it used to be. I totally recommend using seafoam:thumb:
