I just changed my oil pan gasket but found bad water lines for turbo. I was wondering how long can my car sit without oil or with oil but without being start, IF I manually crank the motor once in a while is that enough? I have no money now cuz I have to save up for lawyers. thanx

Cars can sit for an extremely long period of time without any damage being done. Oil will still be coating the internals of your motor while it's sitting, protecting it from corrosion. Just make sure your engine bay stays covered and protected from the elements to keep any electronics from malfunctioning. Keep it in a garage too if possible to keep critters from crawling up and doing damage by chewing through exposed wires(had it happen to me before).

if its going to sit there for a very long time, dont you have to worry about tires... and the batterie will probably run down.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal (or just remove the battery), and drop a tbsp. of oil into each cyl. It will be fine. Cars can sit for a LOOOOONG time w/out starting. Mine has sat for almost a year. :barf:
