how important to keep a/c ?

If its a everyday driver I would say yes. Keeps windows from fogin in the winter, and cool inside in the summer. Just my personal view, but if your gonna run the track i'd say toss it.

sup guys, i pulled out the motor of my talon and was wondering if it's neccessary to keep the a/c on it or just remove it completely?
Ye gods, in San Diego? If you try to drive there without air conditioning, it could well make you insane.

o, never mind.

mine broke in my car so i just pulled it out...on hot days if your in stop and go traffic its kind of a bi*** but otherwise it isn't bad

It's not *terrible*

I spent 4 hour in Chicago traffic on the way to the shootout, it wasn't terrible.

i thought heat de-fogged, not a/c.

your asking a total Personal preference question, i mean for performace i would take it off, i took mine off, but lets be honest ive not noticed any gains from taking it off. i say leave it on, of course it goes without saying when your racing dont have the a/c turned on, but think about if you sell the car, people want a/c. i dunno, let us know what you do

AC takes humidity out of the air, which is why it turns on when you defrost.

i understand what your saying, but without my a/c it de-fogs no differant. actually it does it really fast

I ganked mine to, I'm just saying that's why it works the way it does. On a cold humid day (that kind where it snows the big wet flakes), the AC does help out a lot.

(comparison of the Crown Vic vs the Talon on defrosting)
