How important is a FPR?

I never had a problem on my old car with the pressure when i had a 190 such as you have. General knowledge is that the 255's overrun the small hole on the factory regulator, so you should be fine, maybe check your pressure w/ a gauge if you are questioning it.

The issue is that it adds another facet to your tuning capabilities. You can increase the base, tune the extra out utill WOT when you may have the SAFC set where it would raise your timing to where it would knock but you would have the extra fuel to prevent it, one scenario. For me now that I have an AFPR I would not want to go without it. They are not just for controlling the base pressure from upgraded pumps.

the fuel pressure is very important on the higher rpms and if your fpr is leaking
and stock does with bigger pump, then you're going to need one adjustable. i'm not sure for 190fp, some guy said that stock fpr is ok with it, but you if you can afford it :rocks: get afpr. i personaly like when is everything on its place.
