ok I have a 95' eclipse GS-T Automatic.

I plan on buying a newly used engine and manual tranny..

my question is, how hard are newly used 4G63 engines and manual trannys to find now a days??

I plan on spending 2,000 dollars on a newly used engine and 2,000 dollars on newly used manual tranny..

IF I CAN, I would like to buy these new BUT I don't think Mitsubishi will go out of there way to do that for me would they??

Anyways anyone know how much these two parts will cost? I also plan on paying like 2,000 more dollars cash to the mechanic that wrenches on it;)

yeahh but I was looking towards the lines of a low milage

that picture looks like the engine has like 300,000 miles on it LOL

well it depends how many miles are on the engine and tranny..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-9...057375607QQcategoryZ33615QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem here is the engine for you. I'll look for the transmission. Now be adviced this is the 7 bolt engine not the 6 bolt. There is alot of debate which is better around these threads. But it should be pretty easy to locate a 6 bolt as well. I personally wouldn't plan on a swap to a manual if it was me. I would just go and find the whole car. you can get alot of power down with a automatic if you work things right. And it can be fun as well if you know what your doing. But thats just me. Most on these forums will tell you otherwise. I have both, and it does get tiring if you have alot of stop and go traffic in your area. Just a thought.

You can buy a whole new car for 6k...... My 96 GST with 76k miles cost me 4500. Got it in the beginning of feb and I live in the bay area so everything is $$$$
