how fast have you gone in your dsm

147mph! A couple guys here with their 1G's have gotten to 165 mph in their beasts

I got a little past 170mph in my old gst. Must have been 171 or 172. The speed limiter had been removed with a resistor on the ecu and I had a tre tranny with a taller 5th gear. With an old 16g and a 75 shot in fifth gear got me there eventually. Sadly thou that night I totalled the car in a ditch, not on my top speed run. I blame fwd:thumbdown

Fastest I have ever been was when I was raceing a friend in his 300ZX on a very slight down hill stright away, he claims he was doing 150mph when I passed him my speedo was peged out at 145 so I duno if I was going faster than that or just 145 and his speedo was off. Who knows, who cares thats plenty fast enough on my car with it's shity suspention, I almost ran off the road twice in what sees like basicly no curve at normal speeds... but at 145...nope curve..



Oh did I mention I had another friends fat ass in there with me? yea well I did. (he gave ben the finger as we slowly eased by :laugh: )

When we stoped for gas the first thing he said was "Damn it! your car's faster than mine" which I told him yea, thats no fair laidy your driveing it's an NA. :laugh:



but yea I wont do that again any time soon.

I have done: 145 in my previous camaro, 140 in my previous trans am and 165 in my stealth twin turbo with two girls screaming at me because I was running from a cop....(my liscence was suspended and I didn't need to go to jail) I have had my share of top speed driving and I believe I will never go over 120 again. I haven't, and probably won't, take my eclipse to any higher than 110 or so. When I look back on it, it seems as though I may have been suicidal to go that fast in the first place. Anyone who gets in a wreck above 80 mph has a NEXT TO NONE chance of survival.

was the other day actuly,
3 of us,, an svt focus,, myself, and a 3000gt vr4 cam
after 120, myself and the 3000 walked aways from and left behind the svt. im guessing limeter?
anyway, i pulled that vr4 all the way up to around 135,, then i could hang with him,, but not pass.

i had one of my talons tacked out, couldnt tell how fast i was going, but it would easily run low 12's and i kepted it barried for awhile so i dont know, but it was fun

girlfriend's ex was over at her house threatening her one night so I decided to see if removing my governer in my last dsm (2g) actually worked.. so I fly around the main blvd at 2am at about 148 mph.. being that i'm in LA county i'm suprised the cop on the motorcycle with the radar gun pointed at me didn't give chase... yeah, i heard the ding ding ding from my cobra radar detecter goin off, but i figured someone's gonna have to keep me from killing her ex.. unfortunately he probably figured I had somewhere important to go

I've gone over 140 with 2 other people in the car (stupid move, especially with other people), so I'm guessing I could push 150 while alone. I probaly won't attempt this though. Man, I was goin like 130 one time in the left lane, a guy in a pickup pulls into the left lane from the center lane like a hundred yards ahead of me and I had to hit the breaks pretty hard. I came with about 5 feet of his bumper. In conclusion, I shouldnt go that fast, its stupid. Also, if I do decide to go that fast, I should invest in better breaks and Z rated tires.

I used to cruise at over 130mph all the time.

but as far as the fastest I've gone 168mph.

Here's the story. was out cruising with my Friend John with a Black 96 GS-T dyno'd 285whp, and my other Friend Jake with this TT Camaro that put down 761whp on pump. And had the Camcorder along taking video

Was around 3am Jake was heading for home and right before we split we did a full out run from a 20mph roll. Just watching him go was insane.

So on the way home John and I live close to each other. So we are coming down 35E (4 lane highway) completely empty and is straight for about 8 miles. So John and I like always just start going at it. We are comparable in HP. I did 322whp. But I have a full stereo set up while he's gutted so the HP to Weight is just about equal.

first run off video was from 55mph - 168mph


We happen to pass another DSM with exhaust lowered , rims, altezza's as we are slowing down (passed him at like90mph)

anycase he speeds up and pass's us. So John lines up with him as if to race. And I come up from behind and right as I pull along side they lay into it. And my Girlfriends Starts Recording. again from around a 55mph roll but this time was to 160mph when I blew my head gasket.

That run was done in my 96 GS-T. I tried playing with my friend in his tt Stealth and ran it up to 140mph. But the car just doesn't handle the same as my FWD at High speeds. And I doubt I'll ever run it up that High again. Just scared me way to much.

198 in a porsche 928 wihta 5.7l stroker kit. the guy has topped it at 215 in the race across america thing. i tell ya tho after abot 150 very lil bump seems like a big ass speed bump.
