how do u change the thermostat

Can someone tell me how to change my thermostat....like what do i do what do i need to buy to seal it up all that stuff...ive never done it before....i couldn't find a faq =(

Just take off the thermostat housing and drop the new t-stat in. It's easy. Most will come with the new gasket for the t-stat housing. If not just ask for one.

so i dont have to use any rtv or any liquid stuff to make the gasket stick like when i do the valve cover?

When I did mine, I used high temperature gasket sealer (aka RTV) on the oengine block side and the outlet fitting side. But mine's a 1g, so it may be different. From what I can see, 2g manual doesn't call for gasket sealer.
