How do I take off the rear knuckle bushing?

I took off the nut of the upper rear knuckle bushing, but I can't seem to take the bolt out at all. Its almost like its rusted in there or something. When I turn the bolt itself, the whole bushing moves completely. I've tried to use grips to hold onto the center to keep it from spinning but it didn't work. I've tried hammering and I've tried using a c-clamp and it just didn't come out at all. Anyone got any good ideas to chime on?

The bushings are not available individually, Prothane sells them in their 'complete car kit' but that kit costs more than a new rear knuckle. IIRC the knuckle is about $120.

Grind/cut each side of the bolt off, remove the upper A-arm. Dremel/drill the bolt shank out of the bushing. Be careful and be prepared to spend a long time on this...

I bought 2 polyurethane bushings from Gary at MitsubishiGraveyard for $30. But yeah, thanks. I'm going to bring it to the shop right now, they're charging me $40 each to install.

Are these an off-the-shelf part that MitsubishiGraveyard sells ?

what do you mean by "off the shelf part?" Anyways, I had them installed and I went out for a drive today. Nomore dreaded clunk whenever I go over a bump. I feel so relaxed driving this car now. That clunk has been driving me crazy ever since I bought it.

Are you guys referring to the front or rear knuckles? I have all sorts of clanking noises that are begining to become a huge pain in the ass and would like to get it taken care of as soon as possible.

Just recieved my set today and put the drivers side bushing in. Apparently the passenger side seems like it's fairly new

Anyway, HUGE pain in the ass, I don't have access to a press nor do I feel like taking off the whole knuckle just to get it done, so I ended up melting the old rubber with a torch, scraping the old rubber off, then cutting the new bushing in half (the one i paid 50 bucks for (mitsugraveyard)) and using some grip things to force the pieces in there.

Still wouldn't fit, so I ended up dremeling some of the outside rim of the bushing and forcing it in and it's finally in. Took a couple hours but it looks nice and new in there and fits nice and snug.

so which shop puts these bushings in for 40 bux each.. cuz i live in astoria, queens like 5 min away from brooklyn... i just ordered the bushings from mitsu graveyard and i'd really like to have this shop put them in cuz this clanking is driving me nuts!!!!
