how do I set cas with inductive timing pick up timing light?

Getting ready to start my car want to set the timing, but not real sure how to get the high voltage pick up without having plug wires? I have 300m wired up for 90 chassis. current mods are dsm link, 1000cc inj., fresh built block, ported head, 280 cams ss valves. Bunch of other stuff I'm not sure what is relevant for this question. Any help would be appreciated.
