how do i know if i have abs or not?

I'm trying to buy axles for my 95' gst and i don't know if i have abs or not?.....any info on the subject would be helpful

Your old axles will have a gear-looking thing around the end of the axle right where the axles bolt into the hub if it has abs. Also, you will have a wheel speed sensor on either side. One on each hub.

If you don't have abs, you wont have those.

When its rained outside, slam on the brakes. If you skid, no abs. If not, abs.

If you look under the hood, abs equipped cars have a big silver block with a bunch of hard brake lines coming off of it.

If you have abs, check behind the left front splash shield. There will be an abs pump there.

The slamming-on-the-brakes-in-the-rain idea is the easiest one.

Just make sure you aren't going to go into a ditch/car/dog.

You can do it without the rain as well, just go to a empty back road, get going 30mph+ then smash the pedal, if you start sliding no ABS, if you just slow down extremely fast without any tires losing traction then you've got ABS
