how do i know if i have a 1g head?

the guy i got the car from had the head replaced.the dealer messed up a timing belt job and had to put a new head on.how do i know for sure i have the higher flowing 1g head? are there any markings or anything specific between the 1g and 2g?

so you have a 1G and you're wondering if they put another 1g head on there? i'm pretty sure they wouldn't go through the trouble of putting a 2g head on.

yea, I'm almost positive its a 1g head...look at the thermostat housing to make sure.

Also, its a PITA to put a 95-96 head on a 1g...you gotta modify it for the CAS

alright,just wanted to make sure.the head is brand new.i thought they just put the 2g head on there,since it was recently done.anyways thanks for the info.

Plus if I remember correctly the head bolts on a 1g are 12mm and 11mm on a 2g (or vice versa) either way it would be to big of a pain to do it.
