How do I get rid of the Alarm??!!!!!

I have a 97 Talon ES and the alarm has become possesed. I have removed the 10 amp alarm fuse but that does not dissable the alarm (maybe it has connected itself directly to the battery and is slowly taking over the rest of the car!!). Does out there anyone know how to dissable it?

Is this a factory alarm or an after market alarm?

I wanna get rid of my alarm too, its a Clifford one, but I want to replace it with a new keyless entry set that I can use to lock, unlock, pop trunk, and maybe even remote start. But I don't want the Alarm speaker thing.

I had the same problem. I would be driving down the street and the alarm would just start going off. I even had a cop pull me over thinking I stole my own car. Anyway, it ended up that there is a switch where the door opens that turns on the interior lights in the car. You will see it if you just open the door and look in the bottom right hand corner. It fouled out and had my alarm going crazy. My doors would lock on there own. It was crazy but I ended up just pulling it out and it fixed the problem. I replaced it as well with no other issues. I'm not sure if this is the same problem you are having but I thought I'd take a guess.

Yeah - my problem is with the hatch switch (and now probably the door switch as well), but the whole alarm is poorly designed and just a pain in the but. I want to disconnect it and move on....

! I have a 96 GST with clifford alarm its the Polaris 4 and that thing is crazy! Today when i got in and turned the key to start it the alarm went off! Can someone explain this???
