How do I get my dimmer switch out?

I can't figure out how to get the dimmer switch out of my dash to bypass it, because I think it's the reason for my cluster backlights not working, since my tail lights work so It's not the fuse.

if its the same as it is on a 1g you have to remove the whole panel that it's mounted in. look up dash removal, it should be in the first few steps if i remember correctly

Check the wire connection to the transmission which is attached to the "Reverse" switch in the tranny.
