How do I clean my turbo safely?

I bought a new used turbo, and am wondering how to clean it safely. parts cleaner?

I was wondering the same thing... and is there any way to clean the stock turbo while its on the car?

i would pull off the compressor housing and the exhaust housing and see how much gunk is built up in there and scrape off what you can than use an engine degreaser on the rest and a wire brush

if it was me id remove the housings and use brake cleaner.
