how dangerous is this boost level with my setup?

i just installed my buschur racing MBC and have it set to 20 psi on my stock 14 b and only a rewired fuel pump as my only fuel modification. now, at full boost my air/fuel ratio gauge indicates a rich mixture and i know that not enough fuel= blown up engine. Is 20psi safe on my setup even though the air/fuel ratio says the mixture is still rich?

from what I have heard, you really want an EGT gauge to monitor the health of your tuning. I have been lead to believe that air/fuel gauges are as accurate as pissing in a golf hole in a hurricane, but I don't have first-hand knowledge to back that up.

20lbs isn't so much of a good idea. You can get away with 18lbs or less, but not 20.

do not rely on your narrow band a/f gauge. it is junk.

also do not tune a/f ratios using an EGT. you need a wideband o2 sensor to do that.

EGT is used to help aid in adjusting timing, and how hot your engine is burning. its a safety to make sure your not burning up your pistons.

and 20lbs on just a fuel pump rewire.

adding boost doesn;t mean you will go faster, just means there is the potential if everything else is up to par.
