not sure of what kind of car you have since you have a vr4 listed in your sig, but if you have an eclipse/talon, I would keep the boost down to 12-13 since you don't have an upgraded fuel pump. When you get a fuel pump you should be good for 15.

sorry about that, ya i sold the 3000gt and got whats now in my sig, thanks for pointing that out.

also, what range of HP should i be putting out at 15 psi?

its hard to say, every car is different. I good estimate probably would be 220-240whp. Why did you sell the vr4. I have a 95 along with my 97gst and i love it.

i sold it because it was a 92 and always had little problems (like dsm) however, its also much harder to work on and FAR more expensive to fix when it breaks, not to mention, ive always wanted a clean dsm and they have more potential.

I really wouldn't try to run more than 10. I wouldn't even go WOT with that turob and stock fuel system. Upgrade your fuel system before you find out the hard way.

Well, This is an old thread but I did not want to create anymore than what is needed, hopefully if I can get an answer then someone else in the future can find this thread through searching.

Same question as OP.

My mods: B16G Turbo, 190Fuel Pump*Wired*. 3"Exhaust 1G Bov.

Wondering what safe boost level can I run at?

I honestly would not run more than wastegate pressure.

What are you tuning with? I looked through your profile and it doesn't say...
Are you wanting to DD a certain amount or just crank it up every once in awhile?
I DD 18 psi, ive heard of people running 28 DD on stock internals but i wouldn't try that

Nothing to Tune as of right now, was going to do the whole SAFC thing because my car wont be a Drag monster or anything, just a DD and looking to be around 400-450 Crank HP once I am done my build.. I actually picked up an Eprom Ecu so, I am looking to have that burnt...

I am looking for the highest boost setting I can go with my current mods, any extra power I can get is greatly appreciated.. I am a very spirited driver and like to run late for work appts and such :p

Given what you posted I think a walbro 255, aftermarket FPR and larger injectors would be a wise purchase. You can easily starve this car of fuel. I believe you will start eating your pistons as fuel somewhere around 1620 degrees. I think it would be worthwhile to do a AFR gauge as well. This will allow you to at least tune the car somewhat.

Are the 190s not good until 500hp?, Will be running link once I get my chip tuned like I say build wont be completed for another year.. will be getting 650s for injectors..

I did not pay attention to HP. I was concerned about making sure there was enough fuel period.

So here is a quick and dirty answer math wise. I could be off but it should give you and idea what you are looking at.

First base pressure + boost (say 15 psi) = 37 psi + 15 PSI = 52 psi.

So with 650 injectors you will need the following.

4 x 650cc = 2.600 l/per min = 156 l/hour. Can the 190 deliver 156l/hour at 52 psi? So from that it appears a 190l/hour walbro would be fine. On the other hand I did this same setup and for marginally more cash did 255 walbro to be on the safe side.

Just my opinion and someone correct the calculations if they are wrong.

I definately wont need the 255 for what I am trying to accomplish..

100% Im good with the 190 for my goals..

No way can a 190 be capable of 500hp... or maybe Im just missing something. I would say maybe 300whp or a little over and that might be pushing it.

Its a Question, not a statement of fact..

Here trying to find out!
