I was just curious of anyone knows the whp limits on the walboro hp255 fuelpump. i currently got 400hp to the wheels and am looking at 500-550 by spring and somone was tryin to tell me that the 255 begins to maxout at 400. does any one kniow what it can handle?

i've heard 500 is the limit, but I believe in a fuel pump test the supra TT pump flows a bit more then the 255

Get a Cosmo 310lph to be safe above 450whp. Your definately gonna need an AFPR also, if you don't have one already.

SupraTT FP flows closed to 300lph rewired. Check out RRE page :thumb:

cool thanks for all the responses, and sorry my profile was outdasted and that was my old car i put up all my new info now and got pics in the gallery

I have a buddy with a WRX that has a 255 pump on his car and last time he upgraded turbos the dyno was claiming 625 to the wheels. Although you should really go by how many psi your injectors are pushing. A 255 pump will take you safely into the 70psi range. (or around 20psi or so of boost)

I 've heard that they are kinda inconsistent and can get 'lazy' when they get hot due to their small frame and high RPM design.

Matt (dsmtrance) is pushing right around 500 at the wheels with his 255. No problems at all with fuel delivery.

its not horsepower, its lb/min. what will its max Supported Airflow in lb/min!
i have a spreadsheat for Supra, 255HP, 255LP, 190, 2g, 1g fuel pumps, with the equations to caculate supported air lb/min with diffrent gravity gas weights. the following is for 255hp base fuel pressure @ 43psi, 13.5 - 14volts, @ 11:1, 11.5:1, 12:1 target afr 117 octane

psi / GPH / LPH / lb-hr fuel flow / air lb/min

15 psi 62 235 374 69
20 psi 60 227 362 66
25 psi 58 220 350 64
30 psi 56 212 338 62
35 psi 53 201 320 59

255hp base fuel pressure @ 43psi, 13.5 - 14volts, @ 11.5:1 target afr

15 psi 62 235 374 72
20 psi 60 227 362 69
