I just took my car on a 250-300 mile drive today through the hot california sun with my air conditioner on most of the way and when I get home I notice a really bad sound coming from the rear of the engine. Ever since I purchased the car when I am idleing and I put the clutch in the RPMs drop about 100-150 (out of gear). Finally just about a week ago I am noticing that shifting into 2nd is getting harder and harder. It is begining to make a grinding noise. The wierdest part is that when I turn on the air conditioner the noise seems to stop or at least get softer. Crankwalk?? please say NO!!!

Nevermind I'm a dumb ass. It was the A/C clutch. I turn on the A/C and the noise goes away. I just cut the belt because they wanted $600 to replace the clutch and I am scared to leak freon. I'm so paranoid of crankwalk almost anything out of the ordinary freaks me out.
