I have a Turbonetics Deltagate Mark II external Wastegate with a TurboXS manual boost contoller and i was wondering how to hook up the vacume lines? The wastegate has 2 fittings, one says boost beside it and the other says vaccume. what do i hook those fittings to?

Might be able to help a bit.

The two nipples on the WGA are so that you can control the pressure difference on either side of the diaphragm inside the WGA. But you should be able to only use the "boost" nipple and leave the other one open.

If your boost controller is a ball and spring MBC with a nipple on the side and another nipple on the end opposite the adjustment knob, then the side nipple goes to the boost nipple on the WGA and the other goes to the compressor outlet or j-pipe. If you disassemble the MBC, it will have a spring and a ball inside. The spring pushes the ball up against a hole. The tighter you tighten the knob, it compresses the spring which pushes the ball harder against the hole. One nipple is on the other side of the hole...that goes to the compressor. The other nipple connects to the part of the MBC containing the spring and the ball. That goes to the WGA's boost nipple.

If the boost controller is a bleeder style, then you can hook it up a couple of ways, but I'm not 100% sure of the setup. In one case, the bleeder will hook up like the stock BCS. The cartoon below shows that setup (ignore the periods)

If turning the MBC knob one way makes it *easier* to blow through, that will be the direction you turn it to *increase* boost. If you adjust it all the way so that you can't blow through it, you'll run at the WGA actuation pressure (don't know what that is for the WGA you have and what spring is in it).

There is another way you can hook up a bleeder for a dual port WGA, but I'm not sure at the moment and don't want to misinform.

i dont quite understand the diagram could you describe it if possible

could the vaccume lines be different with a aftermarket intake

the car skips when you want to give it power and it seems like it wants to die and im kinda new to all this stuff and my friend is helping me try to figure this out and he thinks the lines may all be hooked up wrong

any websites that would help?

thanks

Let me give it a shot. There should be a line coming from your intake that originally went to the stock BCS. Unplug it from the BCS and hook it to the vac side of the TurboXS. Now off the other line of the BCS, it should lead to a tee in the line where one heads to the wastegate acutator and the other to the compressor housing. Take the line and hook it to the boost side of the TurboXS.

Depending on the intake pipe, some do include the opening in the intake for it. I have an Ebay one and the pipe is practically identical to the stock pipe except it's aluminum. It had the openings for the BOV, charcoal canister, and the valve cover along with the BCS option. The BCS line should be located on the left side if you were to hold the pipe with the MAS opening away from you while the charcoal canister, BOV, and valve cover openings should be on the upper right. Here are pictures to get you an idea of what I'm talking about.

This is all for a bleeder type BCS. If it's ball and spring, refer to the rest of kenamond's post.
