hooking up tach

I have a friend hooking up a tach for his 90 gst, but he has no idea how 2 do it. Can anyone help him out

well in my crx it was a blue wire right by distributar cap but dsm are electric but i dont know my dsm now i dont have a tach hooked up jsut take a good guess that u think it is, and strip a tad bit of the cover off and touch wire to it see if u get rpm's thats how i did it and if u get right wire hook it up to that wired and hide wires but that could be ghetto way not sure
