Just got a 3 inch turbo back exhaust for my laser and could not get the o2 housing off the turbo. The bolts were really tight and not in a good location to work on. So I decided to take off the turbo all together. Not its sitting on a piece of foam on my barn floor. Are there any precautions I should know about before hooking it back up. In process of taking it off I drained probally 1/2 the coolent, but very little oil came out. Will start up screw something up if there is no oil in the turbo. Should I apply some into the turbo right before I hook up the oil lines again??
And just for reference how much tourqe do the o2 housing bolts get?
thanks for any and all help.

Once you have everything checked over (dont forget to add coolant and possibly oil if your low)and your ready to start the car, Pull the MPI fuse(right off the battery) and crank the car over. This will allow the engine to crank and prime your turbo but the car will not start. After cranking for 20-30 seconds you should be ok to put the fuse back in and start it up.

being that you have the turbo off you might want to take advantage and so some porting...

have never done porting before. Is there a writeup on the forum on what to get and how to use it. Porting could be done I guess. Would you port the hot or cold side, or both? To be honest I would a little scared of taking the turbo apart and getting it back together the right way. But some pictures would really help, thanks.

well theres many things you can port. The hot side where it meets with the mannifold. the manifold. the o2 housing etc etc. theres a couple of articles in porting in the tech section of this site
