ok this might seem kind of newbie to you guys, but this is the first time i'm actually going inside of the 4g63. recently, all the problems with my dsm decided to join forces against me, and in a collaborative attack. they've left me without transportation. I've decided to start rebuilding from the ground up. I'm going to stay with the 7 bolt. Topline rebuilt kit. but the question comes with piston sizing. SBR has a great price on ross pistons. to order a standard bore piston would take weeks, but they have .20 and .40over in stock. Just curious if it's worth it to have my blocked bored and honed. or should i just look for a set of standard bores? i'm going to just mate them to a set of 1g rods, as my power goals arent above 360whp. the machine shop i've found works mainly on domestics, but they have a great reputation around here, and have done a few 4g63 blocks before. is there anything i should tell the machinist about mounting the 1g rods, clearance issues etc....any help would be much appreciated. ohh 1 more since im already posting. i got a 1g intake mani and tb. going to mate them to my ported/ polished rebuilt 2g head. what has to be done to mate the 2? i know it will bolt right up, but is there and rerunning of lines or sensor converting that needs to be done? again thanks for the advice in advance...
