Honda Question

First of all I didn't know where I put this. So moderators I apoligize and feel free to move it. Okay so here's the deal. My friend owns a 91 crx with a k20a2 motor. 6 speed tranny. He recently bought a ACT clutch and the spline went out. Then we found they have short spline life. The pressure plate is fine. So now I ask you. What kind of clutch would you guys recomend for him. He goes to the track once in a while with slicks and 100 wet shot. He also DD the car. What do you guys think?

Ive had Issue's with my ACT clutches aswell, so i went to a Centerforce and really like it. i drive a DSM but im sure they make something similar for the Honda guys.

I personally never had a prob with my act but i also liked clutchmasters and a bunch of my buddies ran zoom and had no probs.

We are running a comp clutch 6 puck sprung hub with an act flywheel on our crx. It makes 290 fwhp and 193tq.

Solid 11.0s on stock axles and 1.6 60 fts. I got a spare stock input shaft sitting here as we just went with a PPG dogcut 1/2 setup. These transmissions are amazingly easy to work on. Just get yourself a helms manual. PM me if your buddy wants that input shaft. I also have the stock type s 1/2 gears to match the input shaft.

+1 on the Competition clutch. I`m running a 6 puck & 2900 pound pp in my awd 6 bolt stroker,& I really like it. Very little chatter, not too heavy, & hooks like a madman. I can only assume their products will be just as good in the Hondas . . .

Go with a centerforce clutch, they r very nice really smooth.
