Since its AWD, my purpose for this car would be AutoX and 1/4 runs. If it were RWD, it would only be for drift (had plenty of practice).

Speaking of rare, my Del Sol I have right now is the only one known in the US like it. I have tried on about 14 forums to have someone show me another, never been done. There are about 4 first gen Del Sol SiRs with the transtop option. But my car is a 2nd gen, go ahead, try to find and prove of another's existance in the U.S. Again, thats why its the most I have ever sold one of my cars for.

I have never seen or heard of a RHD Del Sol... If yout Del Sol is that rare and you wanna get rid of it im sure you can probably get a decent amount of money for it... AWD is fun though, idk if you ever drove a turbochrarged AWD car but let me tell you they are fun as hell:thumb:

Yeah, but at the end of the day it is still a del sol.

All Evos ever are 7-bolt. No need to crawl around under it or unhook anything.

I can't see the pics, but if it is not an EvoIII but a Lancer GSR then it has a 4G93 a 1.8L turbo, not a 4G63 - different engine. They look similar to Evos, but don't have all the goodies, it be like if someone had a turbo Mirage (with AWD) over here.

Good luck with that grey market, illegal, car.

I did not have my del sol for sale, someone has been asking me for the passed 2 years how much I want for it. I finally gave my price and he AGREED! So its time for it to go. My del sol also has the super rare "Transtop" option. Here is a good example of what my del sol transtop does:
Dailymotion - Del sol, a video from nikskin. del, sol, transtop, roof, vtec
(^not my actual car tho)

Yeah, but at the end of the day it is still a del sol.
True that, its not a race car, autox car or any of that, but it is still my favorite summer/nice day car EVAR!

How is that evo registered? Its nearly impossible to get a car imported from japan. I would double check and make sure he has a title for that sucka.

Cars are easy to get over here, only certain cars are "Blacklisted" and customs will deny them being transported. Other companies require a car to be broken down and shipped in two containers. The buyer has to pay for the teardown by whoever does it, pay the shipping of two containers, pay the reassembly fee and other misc. fees. It gets very expensive to do all that, thats why nobody does it really. Once a car is in the US, certain states require very little to register it. Around here, you can make your own car and get a title for it and have it registered and street legal.

Its not a evo3, The owner told me it was an EVO2 (it also says evolutionII on the spoiler) Im obviously gonna confirm before I buy, but again, I have dealt with these guys before on another japanese car and they are legit.

Again, I am a noob, I didnt know all evos came with certain motors. I know nothing about mitsu motors and cars. I was hoping it had a 2.0 or better tho :(

thanx for the info. :thumb:

i had a nissan skyline and have a RHD rx7 and had no problem with regristraiton.

i like the evo and if you pass it let me know

"having a 10 second honda is like coming out of the closet..... At fisrt all your friends are suprised, but in the end your still G@Y!"""

Based on the info below, it does have a 2.0. That Evo is a nice car, I'd buy it.

Lancer Evolution Information - EVO 2/EVO II

Although the EVO 1 proved extremely popular there were many areas that were improved upon for the EVO 2. The EVO 2 went on sale in December of 1993 and had a production run of 5000 examples, these took just 3 months to sell out.

The improvements of the EVO 1 started with the chassis, the track and wheelbase were increased to give better stability and cornering performance for the road car and the rally car, these track changes allowed the EVO 2 to wear 205/60-R15 tyres without rubbing. The torsional rigidity of the EVO 2 was increased by 30 percent over the EVO 1. Engine power was increased by another 10bhp with the use of a redesigned performance exhaust system and an increases in boost pressure. The gearbox and clutch were uprated and the rear LSD changed meaning that the RS and GSR versions both used the same item. On the outside there was a lower front bumper and an extra element was added to the rear wing. The interior saw even more supportive Recaro seats. The RS now came with same Momo steering wheel as the GSR.

Lancer Evolution Specs - EVO 2/EVO II
Engine: 1997cc
Power: 260PS @ 6000rpm
Torque: 228lbs/ft @ 3000rpm
Weight: 1250kg (RS: 1180kg)
Top Speed: 147mph
0-60 mph: 5.0 seconds

Some of your Honda buddies may not like your new car if you get it.

This is true. If you check out my Myspace page, you will see the car has a little following. But I have been telling my honda friends to get their own so we could cruize to events and such, nobody ever did. Its not that hard to get these things, I am as average a guy as can be, did everything on my own w/o any finiancial help from anyone. All my friends just waste their money.

I cant wait to go check out this car in person, if I could only get some time off work :(

These are the other ones they have:

They wont sell to the public anymore (too many issues), only to previous buyers. I just happen to be a good customer :D I kinda like the silver one, but hate the spoiler. I like the oz rims on the white one, but that one is completely stock.

Nice find man. I would deffinately get the black one. Man it sucks that they dont deal with the public, because if they did i would be all over that white. Once again great find and get her. :thumb:

You could use it for AutoX or 1/4 runs, but if you wanted to you could also set it up for drift. I assume since the EVOII and the GSX both are AWD then what I learned for the GSX should also apply to the EVO. Because they both have power going the the front and rear wheels, there is away to adjust the power ratios to the front or rear wheels. If you wanted it for drift, you could just set it up to have all or almost all power to the rear wheels and there ya go, a RWD EVOII.

Sorry my post was unclear. Again, all Evos have 7 bolt 2.0L 4G63s. GSR is a trim level of some Evos. So if it is a Lancer Evolution (I), II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX GSR it has a 2.0L 4G63.

However, for some damn reason, Mitsubishi built a car called the Lancer GSR. It has a 1.8L 4G93 and AWD. It looks very similar to an Evo, but it isn't quite.

The engine code should be on the firewall plate.

aaaahhhhhh:sneaky:

the only 4g63 with crankwalk were the ones built in the US, JDM 7 bolts don't have crankwalk.

See that's the thing, I hear people say that sometimes but I disagree. For these three reasons:

1. There are no US built 4G63's. Normal is an assembly plant, and the turbo cars assembled there had the engines and transmissions (among other things) imported in. On my car's original sticker it says, for the source of the engine and trans: JAPAN. So our engines were buit right along the Evo III's engines in the motherland. Now, did they use substandard parts for USDM cars? Doubtful.

2. There aren't enough Evolution I/II/III owners here for us to know if they had CW. Some of our international members may be able to chime in on this, but I'm not convinced they didn't have CW on some of those cars.

3. I don't know too many people with legit "JDM" 7-bolts in their 2G's to draw any conclusions.
