Its not that easy to get your hands on a authentic "jdm" 7bolt. That Evo II is pretty sick though, if you like it and it has the power it should def. get it you will never look back on the del sol.

Also, search crankwalk and you will find pages of good information. It is, however, very overrated and rebuilding these motors is easy.

Crankwalk is overrated, but yeah it has happened but it doesnt mean it going to happen to all 7 bolt.. and if your worried about crankwalk then slap a 6 bolt

Yeah it is overrated even though it got my 7 bolt, if you are worried buy a 6 bolt for a decent price and put it on the side just incase. Im thinking that mitsu probably spent way more time making sure the evo cranks were built strong and right on spec then the 92.5-99 cranks. Just a thought.

I'd say go for it, I'm about 95% sure that that's a 2.0 in there, I'm not going to say it's not possible, but I have never seen or even heard of putting a DOHC head on a 1.8. Probably should go ahead and check the firewall plate just to be sure.

Ha ha, its not like I'm making this up. Its pretty easy to find out info on these cars by google. They came direct from the factory this way. No one had to "put a dOHC head on a 1.8" to create one. This is not a 4G37 with a 4G63 head that we are talking about. Its a whole 'nother engine.
