This guy I know bought injectors for his GSR motor (B18C) but he got them to0 big. They are MSDs 750cc. He wants to trade for my stock injectors plus $150. My question is will the injectors from a Honda work on my DSM. I think it is a good deal but I don't know if they will fit. Anyone know?

I know that many, many Honda guys use our 450cc injectors. I'm not positive whether or not they have to modify their electrical system any.

As long as they are peak-and-hold type injectors, they should work.

I don't think Honda uses pick and hold injectors with the exception of NSX and such, I may be wrong though.

B18c uses saturated injectors. They must use a resistor box off a 88-91 accord or Civic SI to run Peak and Hold injectors. You can not make a saturated injector any larger than 550cc so the 750's are peak and hold guaranteed. You will need to do nothing to run them. Your buddy will have to run a resistor box with either set of injectors.

Is there anyway I can tell if the injectors are peak and hold injetors just by looking at them? And can someone explain the difference between injectors? If they are the right ones do you think it is a good deal? They are MSDs.

The typical Honda uses a high impedance injector with a saturated driver, just like the NA DSM's.
4G63T's use low impedance injector with a ballast resistor and a saturated driver.

The high impedance injectors run around 12 ohms and the low impedance injectors around 3 ohms. The other thing to watch out for is how long (or short) the fuel feed part of the injector is.

Yes, that is a hell of a good deal. And according to Jim, there's no such thing as a saturated 750cc injector, so it is peak and hold.

If you don't trade this guy, let me know, because I will.

If they are part number 2064, they are 758cc/min 2 ohm injectors.

You can check t see if they are saturated or peak and hold.

Take your multi meter, set it to OHM's (which is the funny circle with the feet) and touch the two prongs on the connector, doesn't matter which one.

Saturated (Honda) 13-16 OHM - Sometimes called high impedance

Peak & Hold (us) 2-4 OHM - Sometimes called low impedance

the 750cc from MSD are Peak and Hold guaranteed which is what you need. If they will work or not depends on the style of injector. Many of them are a bosch style injector which is typically a domestic style which is not really useable in our cars. You must look at it and match it up to make sure visually it will fit in our cars.

my boy has a civic and i traded him my 450's and $75 for his rc 550's. as far as i know they are the same :talon:

The RC 550 can be saturated, make sure you got the injectors you thought you did or you can't run them. Check them with a multimeter as I described above. Chances are they are proper injectors at 550cc but you can get saturated 550cc injectors from RC so you may have the wrong stuff. If he took your 450cc though and is using them, chances are your ok.

Always check the impedance on injectors before buying them from anybody used.

my stock 240cc hgigh impendance injectors have a wierd long tip on em..the 450ccs fit just fine, but being low imp. the car runs like crap(just tested em,thats all)

but whats worrying me is the funny longer tip on the stock ones,as if they go deeper in the head

I have a set of venom (they say python on the side though) 780cc (=72lbs. I think) injectors and they were suppost to fit my car but they measure 15 Ohms WTF??? I realy dont want to put these in and burn up my computer. Will someone help me out here. I would really like to use them seeing hoew I have them in my hand right now and paid 100 bux for them. By the way these are new so I know they are not bad because all 4 of them are the same resistance.

If the physical aspects of the injector are the same...It would be the same as installing RX7 high impedence injectors. Let me explain.

On the firewall of your dsm there will be a rectangular resistor protected by a nice sheetmetal sleeve. To that box go 5 wires. There are 4 black wires going to this pack and one central white wire, just remove the pack, and splice all 4 black wires to the 1 white wire. Bingo you are operating your high impedence injectors! :thumb:
