holset vs 35r

So, just interested in starting a little conversation. What which turbo would you guys choose? A holset (hx-35/40) or a GT35r (or FP HTA DSM82)

I was really on the Holset side when it came up, but now I think I am just going to stick to a Garrett core in the future when I get bored of my 20G.

I was probably thinking the .82, but the more I think of it, while I know a lot of people hate the idea, the .63 is sounding plausible as well.

Going from a 6blade hx40 with t3 bep housing, to a dsm82 i find the dsm82 to be just a better turbo in general, you get what you pay for.

I currently funding my hx40 build. I picked it for a reason. I think its all personal preference.

While it moves a ton of air, I'm not sold on the Holsets. Guys have been running them for a while now and still struggling to make them reliable. Is stick with a Garrett or Mitsu variant.

I'd say holsets are the most reliable turbo, and with garrett being sold to honeywell I wouldn't use one

IMO it's like this. gt30 < hx35 < gt35 < hx40
