i just recently purchased a brand new GT-35R setup with a tubular manifold, tial 44m wastegate and 3' o2 housing with dump tube. I have a big 16g on my car now. I am wondering if i need to get a new J-pipe for this turbo. Also if there are any easy, CHEAP ways of getting a 4' intake . Also besides injectors any other modifications to run 22 pounds of boost safely. Any tips on tuning with DSMlink.LOL???? thanx for any input you have as well!!!!

Have you seen a GT35R? No, there is no J piping with bigger turbos. Hope you have all your fuel mods ready!

honestly, so am I. I don't know the physical specs on it. maybe it just uses a a silicone hose and a clamp??

Yes, depending on what kind of intercooler you have your probly going to want to get some kind of 90 deg. elbow either welded on or you can just buy a silicone one and use clamps.

Errr...Your mods and timeslip give me the impression that you should be fairly knowledgeable when it comes to modding and tuning (unless someone else does it for you). That aside, the gt35r is a downward firing turbo, so there will be no j-pipe in the setup. For your intake pipe, forced performance makes a nice 4" piece for $80...I'm sure you could get your hands on a used one for cheaper.

Yeah... the GT35r, like most turbo's that size, is downward firing. Your FMIC kit should already be set up for that style. You do have a FMIC, right?

I know all the internall and every other aspect about it but I have never seen one in person. so no i dont now how they sit. (I dont trust the pictures on the website just incase it is not the actuall turbo) And yes I do do my own tuning and everything I was just wondering from people that may have this setup if they have any advice to make things smoother along the way. I know CRAP about it man, but who doesnt like and extra bit of knowledge? ;)

its all goooddd:thumb: i ordered it from punishment racing right before he ended the "name you price sale". I ordered a full kit and when i talked to him he told me he was in the works of putting a kit together. He had everything for a 2.5 inch discharge but I wanted a 3 inch so he said it is going to take him a week to put together. ill post pics of everything including the install. thanx for everybodys help

Just FYI this turbo does not really make any real power til past 25 psi. If you only want 22 psi out of it stay with 16G or 50 trim. I am just running 30 psi with this turbo now and it's only a little faster than my ol' 3052 from last year.

thank for the info. I do plan on keeping my 16g on unitl i boost up the injectors. What fuel pump are you runnig???

I am running a non rewired 255 lp wally for now but I have found it's limit at 55lbs/min of airflow, so I will be going with rewired Supra pump this winter when I get a chance to work on it.
