Holset Turbo with Garret Turbine Housing?

Hey whats up Guys? I recently brought a Hx35 i was gonna use the stock 12cm2 housing with my ebay t3 manifold but unfortunately the housing is hitting the block ridiculously even a spacer still wouldn't help. I got a local turbo re builder who has ton of housings highly doubt he has the BEP though. There are a lot of mixed reviews of what the 12cm2 is equivalent to some say 63. A/r Some say 89 A/r . I would like to know if anyone has tried or know if a T3 Garret 82.Ar housing would fit with the Hx35 THANKS!

I would like to know if anyone has tried or know if a T3 Garret 82.Ar housing would fit with the Hx35

Not without precise measuring and extensive machining.

There is no real way to may a straight comparison of the cm^2 to A/R because the different frame size and as I recall Garrett's housing won't work on a Holset turbine. Either get an ERL Performance T3 Cast Exhaust Manifold, fabricated an angled spacer, buy a BEP housing for $200.

Thanks but that doesnt help he tried to put the Hx 40 in the Dividided 84 a/r housing. Im talking about a T3 like undivided 60-1 housing the one that fits stage 5 turbine wheel from what I found the 60-1 with stage 5 wheel..

The HX40 turbine inducer is much taller than the T352 (Stage 5) Garrett's, not to mention the different diameters and depths of the center housing (where it fits into the center housing).

No offense, but if there was a way to do this cheaply someone would've figured it out between now and when Bullseye first started casting Holset housings in 2004. Unless you know some type of machinist that can do the work for free, it will be cheaper to just buy the BEP .70 a/r T3 housing.
