Hi. I have a 8 blade 16 cm t3 with the 76 millimeter exducer. The current housing has a 3 inch inner diameter and a 4 inch outer diameter on this the band. my downpipe is 3.75 inch inner diameter, can I open up the back housing to match the down pipe without negative affects?

I was looking into the Bep .70 AR housing and looking to do the same thing by match my 3.75 downpipe. I would cut off the 3 inch vband it comes with and attach a 3.75 inch pipe to it. Advantages and disadvantage?

The car is a 6 cylinder 2.5 liter 1 JZ. I know this isn't supraforums but there is a lot more activity is a lot more information. Thanks

I believe you mean a 76mm turbine inducer.

I don't see why you can't port the outlet a bit- just stay away from the radius of the wheel. If you cut that part of the housing, it's junk.

It will work fine if you know a good cast welder.

I appreciate the response. the turbine housing is 6 bolt housing the Bep is the 4 bolt, how would I go about making that work? Does it come with the brackets to bolt onto the chra?


Also I want to ask if it were your car which housing would you use? 99 percent city driving and would only see a track once in its life. 5spd, 4.3 differential, 3700lbs

Use the hardware that comes on the BEP housing.

If you buy it new, it should. Sometimes guys will forget / lose the clamps and bolts on a used housing....if that happens, look to spend an additional $20 or so to get the correct clamps.

Well being that the smallest factory HX40 housing made is 16cm (huge), you're much better-off using the BEP T3 housing.

I took your advice on finding bep housing, but none come in t4. I found timsturbo who is willing to build me a housing for similar price. my question is factory inner diameter of the housing outlet is 3.25, they are saying they can only do 3 inch. Is this a big issue?

also i recently acquired a hx52-55 in a trade...make more sense to a have a housing built for this instead of the hx40?
