Anyone have any first hand experience with this product in their dsm, or any other FI race car they know of that is using it?

so far i haven't really been able to find many reviews on it, other than a couple guys on the rx7 forums and Holley bench testing it.

I've been looking into this product as a solution to my fuel starvation issue while accelerating out of left hand turns for a couple months now, It wasn't until recently Holley started offering a version that that clips directly to the walbro 450LHP pump, so i figure for only $160.00 it's worth giving it a shot. I've posted a link to the item below.

I just ordered it today, so it's going to be a couple weeks before I'll be able to get back with any feed back on it.

I've been looking into this as well. There's a adapter you can buy to. But this looks much better and one piece.

:thumb: is this the adaptor you're talking about?

They're extremely proud of that little set up! i guess i'll keep a link to that saved as a backup plan.

Personally I feel the length might be a little on the short side for it to work effectively on heavy left hand corners with lets say 5 gallons of fuel in the tank, I'll try to position it at an angle toward the rear right corner and see how it goes. If it doesn't work for me, This thing will definitely work for all of you drag races out there.

We also have this little swirl pot thing to deal with, So i'll probably empty/drop the tank and cut out a 3.25"x1/2" slot toward the base of it & make sure the edges are super smooth with no sharpness to them and slide the mat through it, keeping the swirl pot mostly intact.

I've been looking at Hydramat too. The demo's I've seen seem to me that this would help my car's issue, fuel starving in LH corners when at 1/2 tank or less. There are no long LH sweepers at the track I usually run.

Problem is, there seems to be no way to adapt this to my Supra pump. The Radium item doesn't appear to have the same interface.

Anyone find a drop in solution? I may just make a "cup" that attaches to the pump body with the needed pipe fitting tapped into it.

We tried out a hydramat on a Formula modified series race car. It was lighter than going with traditional gating so we decided to go for it even though it was expensive as all hell. We found it to work quite well. The key is to get a large enough one that it covers most of the bottom of your tank. If you do that it will draw it right down to the last drop almost under any cornering you put to it.

I finally got one installed about a month ago. I wasn't really sure how to go about installing it, Initially i was going to cut and modify the OEM slosh pot, But decided against that, So i just folded it up and stuck it in, leaving the OEM slosh pot in its original state, figured i should try to test the design of this highly engineered 90's era slosh pot before i go cutting my mint condition fuel tank up.

So far the hydramat has worked well with no issues, Though i feel that i haven't given it what i would consider to be a "proper test". Hopefully next weekend I’ll be able to get some solid results by doing a 1/4 tank full & gaslight on test.

So I got the mat for my walbro 255. Installed and now I have low fuel pressure not sure what the deal is. Couldn't even drive the car so I put the oem sock back on. Any advise from other users? About ready to return it and go a diff route. Sucks
