hks evo 3 272's

ok so i have just opened up the head on my car for the first time since ownership. the head looks brand spankin' new and the cams are stamped HKS(ok) and in between the lobes is engraved 272(ok) but also is engraved evo3 (now im offically stumped).

am i missing something here??

please advise

The Evo 3 has basically the same head as a 2G. Any cams made for an Evo 1-3 will fit a DSM.

are you saying there is a 7bolt/2g head on this thing? is the evo3 272 any different than the regular 6 bolt 272?

No difference.
Any cam that fits a turbo DSM or Evo 1-3 can be installed in any turbo DSM (or Evo 1-3). It does not matter if it's a 6 bolt, 1G 7 bolt or 2G 7 bolt head, the cams are compatible with all.

No its a 6 bolt head on your car ... the Evo 1-3 has a head similar to the 2g dsms and both 1g and 2g can use the same cams...and the 272 cam to see if there is a difference u would have to check the specs on the hks cams and compare them to any other cams made by brian crower or forced perfomance ....

Thats right my man but u can check for your self to make sure ...look up your cams on the hks site and then compare to any other brand out there ..and there is a hand full ..
