Ok, so before I make my order for my cams I would like some feedback.
I can't really decide between a 264/272 or 272's.
Which setup will be more prone to stalling? Also where can I find sound clips? I did a search, but was unable to find anything.

they both sound good, but I think I don't want that much of a lumpy idle. How do the 264/272 combo sound?

The lumpy idle is not necessary. They can sound 80% like stock. You need a really good idle tune. I have the 264/272 combo, and if I'm too rich or too lean during idle it will be rough sounding. Otherwise, you can barely notice.

I wouldn't go by sound. Most members wish they bought the 272s first. Mine are not as lopey as the 2 in the vids. If I bump up my idle rpm to 850, it sounds stock. What will you be using to tune? Also what are your goals? 264s will be a nice gain without sacrificing lowend, but if you want the most power go with the 272s. DSMlink makes it very easy to tune these cams for a very nice idle.

ok i dont mean the thread jack, but i also dont want to start a new thread about this very same issue: namely with my setup what i should aim for the HKS 264/272 or i m gathering the other combination is272/272??

Video of my 264/272 combo. They lump more when the idle is a little lean. The way they sound in this video is about the average "lumpiness" on my car. I love the lump though.

Ok so i take it that the HKS Cams sort of work like this:

264/272: Quick Lowend/Okay Highend, meaing exactly what you said, if you want quicker spool and more power in the lowend, then this combo is for you, the "lump" sound level slightly noticeable over stock

272/272: Ok Lowend/Fast Highend, meaning that if you already have some quick low end, and want some highend power, this is the combo for you, the "lump" sound level is noticeably over stock.

Is that what it breaks down to?
