HKS cam duration @ .050" or at 1mm lift?

Does HKS make this information available on a cam card or does anyone know the specs? Perhaps lift along with the duration? How about stock cams specs? Mark

No way they have 272 deg at .050 unless we are talking about something else. The comp 101200 which are supposed to be equal to or more aggressive than the 272's has only 212 deg duration at .050"

272 is just the name of that set of cams. We can't find the specs at .050", that is what the guy is asking for.

Okay, never mind.
Edit: According to Hks's site, they are advertising the duration as 272 deg. So that is why they are 272's. But like I said earlier, they measured that at .1mm lift. It also says for the 264 and 272, 10.3mm max lift.

For factory, I have IVO: -6.8 BTDC IVC: -4.4 ABDC EVO: -5.6 BBDC EVC: -6.8 ATDC
169/168 @ .050" .202" lift.

I've never heard of measuring cams at .1mm. I know what their website says, does it specify anywhere what it's measured at?

Oh, sorry that was comp that specified a lift at .1mm or .039". Hks is probably closer to 0mm, maybe .01mm or even less. I guess we will never know how they measured them, unless somebody can get a cam card with the correct measurements.

I think the problem is with terminology.

Advertised duration is when the cam actually starts the increase from the base to the lobe. That number is always higher and why the 272 have that high of a number for that reading.

The other duration that you guys are looking for is usually measured at .050. Howeve, Japan and the metric system dont know what .050 is so they measure them at 1MM.

If you look at the adverised duration and the .050 duration it will give you a good idea of the ramprate of a cam.
