AHH! How can it be possible to get fuel cut on a stock turbo at 13psi? I just yesterday finished up another install, I put in a ported o2 housing, downpipe, highflow cat, a and rnr catback (3 in) Last night I was driving home and decided to enjoy some pedal action, and i was going and going and it felt great, then BAM! The car like just bucked so hard i sh*t my pants and thought something like the tranny was going to be behind me in the rearview mirror OMG . This hasn't ever happened before. I was watching the boost gauge (it was the first time I have floored since the new exhaust items and i was watching to make sure i wasn't creeping) and it was only at 13 when it happened. Has anyone else had this happen to them at this psi?? I couldnt think of why it happened, my friend said maybe the turbo I have is like a 16g or something haha, thatd be nice huh. When I found the car I saw the turbo looked brand new, but I didnt actually look at the turbine wheel.

I plan on getting a fuel pump and SAFC next...

Was is unusually cold when you did it? From my experience, 9 times out of 10 you'll have your boost right where you want it with no problems, but sometimes here (idaho) it will be exceptionally cold (this always happens in the winter) and fuel cut can come out of nowhere and seem very unexpected.

Cooler air=more air/more dense air thus causing the very sensitive levels to be considered FUBARed by your ecu thinking it is getting too much air and not enough fuel.

Well, if I'm wrong at least it gave you something to read.

What other types of mods do you have? I got a 92 GSX and i've never hit fuel cut and i'm running 15 psi and when it's cold sometimes like 17ish psi....Make sure you re-wire your fuel-pump..the stock wire is like a 18 or 20 gauge..it's super small and the voltage drop is insane...Voltage drop = less fuel = Fuel-Cut..to a certain extent...A Super AFC will help but there is only soo much fuel a stock pump and injectors can put out..But like i said..What other supporting mods do you have...Good luck..Dan

Yeah I plan on getting a SAFC, AND fuel pump/inject, whenever i do that upgrade. Either that setup or a fuel pump/inject. and a MAFT.

It wasn't cold! I mean, its summer, and it stays pretty warm all night here in PA. I don't have any supporting mods yet, cause i didnt plan on needing fuel yet until i got mynew turbo :p oh well, i'll just take it easy on her til i get what i need to correct it.

Pretty weird, I was logging runs before i had a lot of work done on it and I couldnt turn the boost up past 13.5 w/o starting to run lean and knock. I'm gonna pull off the turbo and have a look-see at the compressor wheel to see if its really a 14b LOL.

Yeah, i was hoping it was a leak but i pressurized it and nothing...ah well....
also noticed my high fuel trims were at 107% yikes...
