High Pitch whining noise

my car is making a whining sound it started out to be minnor but now it really bad . i think its boost related not really sure. i can still drive but i can give it to much gas because its starts to whine, and its hard to accelerate and my boost wont go pass 5lbs
please help i'm kind of a newbie

Well last time that happened to me it was the turbo was shot. If it was me id check shaft play.

While you have your intake off to check shaft play do a boost leak test as well. You could have a pretty big leak that is whining/ whistling.

how many miles are on the turbo? and my guess that it is a boost leak

It's your supercharger belt

High pitch whine could be a over tightened belt, a boost leak or even regular function of the inducer.
