Ok I'm back at this idle thing and after about 6 months of not messing with my 90 eclipse I decide to get back on it. I started off with a idle surge issue and after chasing down boost leaks for about a year off and on I think I can finally say I've illuminated them all..I hope. I have also changed the ISC, TPS, cleaned my TB and replaced the seals. Now my current problem is I have the high idle issue where it idles at about 1000 - 1200 rpm. The BISS is bottomed out. I can get it to idle at about 800 rpm but then the timing is off. If I get the timing to 5 deg then the idle is back high again. Am i missing something? What do I need to do to get both the timing and the idle within proper range? Seems like I can't have both things at the some time for some reason.
I've been searching the net and this site for days but can't find anything that I haven't already tried.
also this is on a 1g 1990 GS Turbo
Anybody have any input?
