420A High idle

I took of the battery and tray to get through to the fill plug for the transmission. Couldn't get it off that way, so I put the battery back in to get the car lifted up again. Now its revving to 2000rpm on it's own, itll jump to 2300rpm when I start it. It goes down to normal, then after a bit back to 2000rpm and it wont go down. Idk what happened all I did was take the battery off...

Did you happen to unplug the IAC valve or the TPS? Check those, both are on the throttle body close to the battery.

Both are plugged in, I snagged a wire harness with my pliers but it didnt seem to cut anything. It seems to rev when the fan kicks on.

That's the wire harness I snagged, not sure what it does. It's not the TPS or IAC.

The one below the tray or the one running vertically? The lower one is for the speedometer, the upper one is for the injector harness.

Yes, that is for the speedometer.

So If i accidentally cut one of those wires that wldnt cause it to rev up a bit after a min or so of running.

If you cut one of those wires you need to fix it.

I don't remember if that connector runs to the ecu or if it goes straight to the gage cluster. But if it hits the ecu first, your car is probably revving because it thinks it's in motion.

Hmm okay well I will make sure it's not severed or anything thank you.

So I checked the wires and didnt find a cut. But my AC was on before I took everything apart and now it revs up if I turn the AC on more otherwise it revs on its own around 1,200. Its almost like the car is reacting to the AC. Hopefully the video works.

So have you checked for vacuum leaks? I wouldn't doubt the plastic vacuum hose for the egr got snapped.
