2G high idle, low idle

Lately for awhile my car will idle normal when i first use it, after driving it for awhile it idle at 2,000-2,500 RPM, it is very annyoing having it idle so high all the time even when driving i can let go of the gas and it will try to hold it at 2,000 RPM, I have a 96 talon tsi fwd with turbo back exhaust not cat, upic with greddy type-s, t-28 and 255lph fuel pump, I tested all my sensors according to the book I have, I have no boost leaks, checked many times, anything else I might be missing? any help would be great..thanks

I am actually having somewhat the same problem, except mine will just randomly idle at 2000rpm. It seems to happen mostly when say i go somewhere, turn off the car, and start it again while its still hot(say 10min later). Though more often than not it is perfectly fine, besides a somewhat low normal idle. From what ive been reading it seems it may be the ISC? I was actually going to make a post about this myself, but i will just post in here any hopefully someone knows. I have a 95 tsi awd and guessing the ISC is orgional(not for sure just bought the car last month).

yea your case is pretty much like mine, thing is, i checked my ISC according to the book and the meter reads out fine from all the pins..just want this problem fixed it gets very annoying to not be able to control the idle not to mention how much gas it waste, any help at all would be great...thanks

Did you check the BISS? I don't think it would cause that high of an idle issue, but it never hurts to check

My friend Kinda had the same problem
Random Huge idle spikes / surge
Sometimes it would be fine sometimes not.

He was running just a 255lph
He just installed a AFPR and he has perfect 800 idle now.

You may be onto something. I just recent rewired my fuel pump, but im pretty sure it is just a stock pump (just bought car recently). A rewired stocker shouldnt be enough to mess up idle though should it?

yea I was thinking the fuel pump to but i had the same problem before, maybe an afpr would help it out to stock over runnning the stock one..aeromotive seems to be the popular one..where is the best/cheapest place to pick one up at? thanks

I bought mine from Slowboy, might not be the cheapest place to buy, but those guys have always had the best customer service! I bought a whole setup....afpr and stainless line from the tank to the rail....nice setup!!
