boost high and low idle

i recently replaced my turbo after i checked everything and ran around the block when all of a sudden my boost just shot up at idle i know my stock boost sensor is unreliable but it showed my boost was up in the middle and would not come down when i revved the engine it would go down for a sec but would immediately shoot right back up and it caused my engine to sputter and i could barely move i have a stock 16 g and a greeddy type-s on it other than that my car is completely stock any help is appreciated.

Do a boost leak test, I would bet that you have an air leak somewhere. The most likely places are going to be your bov or your throttle body, maybe a vacuum line.

just curious, have you checked the actuator to make sure the wastegate isn't stuck shut?

The wastegate should be fully closed either way if the car isn't moving or building boost at the line.

The factory boost gauge is controlled by the ecu according to airflow, meaning you have higher than normal airflow. Check to see that you don't have any hoses off. Do a boost leak test and you will more than likely find your problem.
