hid ballast keeps blowing

So I installed hids in my dsm and the driver side has blown 3 ballast while the passengers side has never blown one. Im assuming it a short somewhere but it can have regular bulbs with no problems. What can it be?

Check connectors for moisture. Does it happen when it rains or at random and are they wired to the battery?

It might be due to moisture. Today. it rained and it just so happen to stop working. They are not connected to the battery they're plug and play.

Try mounting the connectors vertically with the male connector going up into the female connector so moisture can't accumulate.

Use electrical tape to wrap the connectors or replace them with higher weather-tight ones if problem persists.
