So I just got a 97 gst eclipse. I have a 4g63 motor with a few things done to it. It currently has a 20G turbo that I need to replace. I have a FP manifold currently and was wondering if a hx35 would be a direct bolt on similar to the FP turbos. Also question regarding e85, should I go full e85 or half? If you can help I would greatly appreciate it

Welcome but you need to take some time and use the search function.

HX35 technically is NOT a bolt on turbo. You need the BEP hotside that BEP sells. You will also need a bigger intake and custom return line. Straight E85 is best and easiest to tune.

I have a Magnus intake mani with a 90mm throttle body and ok I'll check BEP out. So if I go FP turbo is that considered a direct bolt on to the FP mani?

Hey if you need the bep housing and/or a turbo, pm me as I have some parts that you may be interested in.

We also have the BEP housings. They come with free shipping and are a little cheaper then Extremepsi.

Might have to dent the water pipe too. Or shave a bit from the compressor housing also going to need to figure out the ic piping to it too. Just a few things you'll run into.
This, I'm pretty sure the fp manifold puts it pretty close the water pipe. There is a thread on this too, search and you will find all the info you need on the hx setups and what works best. Seems like you have some good help and suggestions so far though.

@Ludsm97, you should start here by filling out your profile to others can provide you with the best advice possible: http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/we...o-create-a-dsm-profile.499707/#post-153564173

It's hard to give good advice without knowing more about your car, which is exactly why filling out your profile accurately is so important. For example, it's hard to make recommendations on what fuel to use, when we're not even sure what your fuel system is currently capable. Upgrades typically build on one another, so without knowing your specific blueprint, it's impossible give advice to assist you in achieving a certain end state.

Not trying to sound rude but i dont think a hx35 is for you. Yes it bolts on but theres a lot more to it. Your better off with a 20g or fp green. Much simpler to install and get up running.

There's some good points to be taken from the post above post. Most of your specific questions have been answered by other members. Please take the time to review the links they have provided, and use the search function to seek information and knowledge on your own.

To the point quoted above, an HX35 may not be a great choice for a novice builder (no offense intended). There is a lot involved in the installation, even in the BEP bolt-on configuration. In addition, this turbo is well known for very specific oiling requirements. There's not really a "bolt-on" solution for getting this turbo oiled properly, so you're going to be facing some challenges if you're relying on a all inclusive bolt-on turbo solution.

New questions and again thanks guys, looking into getting a FP black and need to get oil feed and drain lines. I was looking on forced induction and was wondering as far as the 1G oil line it would the application be 1G dsm or t3/t4 ? Also for the oil drain would it be TD05/FP30 or t3/t4?

Just go with an MHI 16g direct bolt on and call it a day, tune on full e85 and you will have a great street and track car. It will be reliable and turbo will last you. you can run low 13s to mid to high 12s depending on tune and other mods, not bad. GL and welcome!
