for all that work he did it isnt a bad price. IMHO i wouldnt like a modified car or at least that heavily modified. It takes all the fun out of it, i rather much have the satisfaction that i bought everything/almost everything and installed it myself but that is me. Honestly that is a good deal for all those mods... just ask him did he get his belts, tensioners, and water pump changed @ 60K if so ask him for a bill for you to see

Its a buy.... but wheres the fun in modding your own car?

The reason i picked up a dsm was because of the tuning exp. it gives you.

Well to tell you the truth its like the only manual GSX available in my area, within a 300mi distance... I found 1 other, but it has high miles.... so thats the best thing I could come up with, there is alot more modding that can be done to the car dont you think?

The only thing you can really do is better LSD, better turbo, boost control, get rid of that ugly wing & altezzas, ditch the 19's maybe for some lightweight 18's and of course you could always RiCe it out...but you wouldnt do that to a GSX now would you

I would get better lightweight rims, better turbo,, do a little interior work and exterior , the wing and the lights were the first things I was gonna get rid of .... I was thinking about putting in some sparco's or something i dunno... Theres always things to put. maby even paint it with a nice color.

A really fast street machine, well to the limits of where I can still pass emission something I can take on Mustangs with on the highway and crap

I'd pass on it. Those parts weren't put on because he babied it. And with that amount of "improving", he's dropped the market value by a good $4K.

Why would you want to buy a car someone else built? That's being kind of phony, get a stock car and build one up yourself. More mods = less reliability anyways

Well he said that it's hard to find a GSX, which is true. I would agree with not buying a modded car, especially THAT modded. Have you tried extending your search? Maybe search out of your state, or 3, 4 states from you?

It sounds to me like he knew what he was doing with his upgrades. I say if it's got good compression -- go for it.

Why buy a stock car and dump thousands into it to achieve what he's already done?
