Looking for anyone that might have any suggestions as to why my 2g is hesitating at the time of gear shift (off gas on gas). This is also seen at the beginning of a rev with car stationary with clutch in or in neutral. The car runs great at idle, cruise, and WOT. The A/F looks to be at my target of 11.5 at WOT and ~14.7 at idle and cruise.

Replaced and adjusted, per Mitsu manual, TPS 1 month ago (problem existed before changing out TPS).

Currently using ECU+ EMS.

No boost leaks or vacuum leaks detected

FP looks to be on target, at least at idle.

Plugs are new NGK BPR7ES. All other ignition components are new as well.

Other than this initial throttle response hesitation the car is running great.

Thanks in advance for anyone that might have any thoughts about a possible fix:thumb:

I would check the throttle position sensor on a lab scope in peak detect mode. You will probably have to take it to a shop to have this performed. Make sure your talking to someone who knows how to use a lab scope, as you would be suprised how many "mechanics" can't.

What type of ems are you using?

Thanks all for your feedback!

I am using ECU plus EMS.

BOV vented to intake not to atmosphere

Throttle action is smooth (new cable).

The TPS is brand new. The symptoms described were present even before I replaced the TPS.

What exactly could be off on the TPS that would require a lab scope, just curious.

Thanks again for all the help!
