I get a chuffing noise in between shifts, when I am boosting.
I am pretty sure the noise is coming from the BOV, not the turbo, The BOV is a 1G crushed, with the boost source coming off of the side of the throttle body.
Is this cuffing noise normal, I don't want to cause premature wera on the turbo, and this seems like a problems that could possibly damage it.

Are you sure its not just the sound of the BOV venting the air? I would say that possibly the BOV was crushed incorrectly, causing a stuttering from the increased pressure on the diaphram. maybe switch it out with a stock and see what happens?

It did it with a stock BOV, and then I crushed one of my spares, and it still chuffed.
When i crushed the BOV, I used two pieces of wood, between the flange and top of diaphram, and gently closed the vice until the top had gone down a little bit, bout a few millimeters.
